Anke King

Anke (Angie) King is a respected dog trainer and competitor, evaluator, and judge of multiple dog performance sports. She has 30+ years of experience in training and competing with dogs. As the founder and owner of K9 Bondz, LLC, she offers classes, private lessons, and workshops on a variety of dog sports and activities. Anke loves working with K9 teams to help them reach their goals by building strong bonds between the owner/handler and their dog. Her passion is K9 nosework and she has coached multiple teams to achieve Elite/Master titles in the sport. Her adaptive, effective, and positive training methods have earned her an extremely loyal clientele.

Anke owes much of her knowledge and success to the canine partners she has had in her life. When she was young, she had German Dachshunds and German Short/Wirehair Pointers, and a German Shepherd, named Nico. Nico was her first performance dog; they participated in obedience, tracking, and Schutzhund. Then in 2000, she purchased her first Belgian Malinois, Sunny. She fell in love with Belgian Malinois and has become a loyal advocate for the breed. Anke’s current pack consists of two Malinois, Ebbes and Ryn, and a Boston Terror (wannabe Mal), NaWas. They compete in American Kennel Club (AKC) obedience, rally, and conformation; in agility in both AKC and the United States Dog Agility Association (USDAA); and in nose work under the National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW) regulations.

Silke Satzinger

Silke Satzinger has a rich history in dog performance sports and conformation over the past 30 years. She put her first AKC Companion Dog Excellent (CDX) obedience title on her beloved Doberman, Kora, in 1996. She developed a passion for working and playing with her dogs and got into a number of other dog sports, including Agility, IPO, Weight Pull, Therapy work, to mention a few.

In 2007, Silke became an AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator, and has certified several dozens of dog/owner teams.

She became very involved with Rally-Obedience when the sport became available through both AKC and UKC (United Kennel Club). She has earned titles on all of her dogs, up to a total of 17 double Q’s for AKC’s Rally Advanced Excellent title and recently earned a Master title. In April of 2011, she became a UKC Rally/Obedience Judge.

She also stepped into the conformation ring, both AKC and UKC, and put a Grand Champion title on one of her Dobermans as a handler/owner. In 2012, she was ranked # 4 in the AKC Owner/Handler Series.

When the sport of canine scent work came to the East Coast around 2013, she was intrigued and began her journey competing at National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW) trials. When AKC announced Scent Work as a new sport in 2017, she got approved to become the 1st AKC Scent Work judge in Virginia and is also one of the few in the country that is an expert judge. Her Doberman, Heady, was the first Doberman to earn the Overall Scent Work Novice title in September 2017. Scent Work has become her passion ever since! In March of 2022 she also became the 1st United Kennel Club Nose Work judge for Virginia.

As you can see, Silke is enthusiastic about all forms of dog performance sports and activities.

“I learn by training my dogs at every opportunity I get. By doing so, I find different training techniques and I can share this experience in my classes and seminars. Every dog is unique and not all of them learn the same way or at the same rate. Knowing that, helps me to adjust my methods to the individual dogs and owners.” Silke Satzinger is an AKC – CGCU/CGCA/CGC/STAR Puppy/Trick Dog-Evaluator, Fetch Dog & Scent Work Judge UKC – SPOT Evaluator, Rally/Obedience Judge, Nose Work Judge WCR (World Cynosport Rally) Judge
